First In






I welcome you to my blog site; I hope to show you the fire service in NLC in some interesting events. During the next few years, I will improve on the content and photos to keep you coming back for more. I take pride in my photography and try my best to be first in when possible. The majority of the photos will be from the Norwich companies & surrounding area departments, but sometimes I Buff out of state cities for a change of pace.



As of late I have missed or worked a lot of the incidents. I have a great support group of Photographers to help the site keep up with all the incidents. There are too many to list, So thanks for your support. Thanks for visiting and enjoy .RD Ladd

A few appartus from, The truck Show in Yantic, 07-23-22

Bozrah, Truck vs Gas pump. 07-23-22

 Bozrah along with East Great Plan was dispatched to Rt-82 at the Citgo gas station around 12:15 for a reported truck into the gas pumps with fire. FM-126 arrived to find a small fire coming from the base of the knocked over pump. The truck no longer on the island and the driver was out of the vehicle. A extinguisher was used to extinguish the fire. NFI

Colchester 2nd Alarm, 07-04-22

 Colchester 2nd Alarm, 105 Cato Corner Road. Reported as a house fire with a trapped occupant, First arriving officer found smoke showing from the eves, transmitting the working fire, then upgraded it too a 2nd alarm, with tankers. The living room had heavy fire venting from the rear, Crews knocked the  main body of fire down and started to search the area for the reported missing occupant, he was located and removed from the building. Crews then opened up the building searching for hot spots within a hr, the fire was knocked down. This is a fatal fire, and the local and state FMO's are investigating.
