Norwich Fire w/ Auto aid E33 & L5 was dispatched to 83 Summit St for a reported house fire with occupant trapped, While responding heavy smoke could be seen. On arrival the A side of the dwelling was heavily involved and with an occupant still missing. Crews stretched in and also started to search. The heavy fire was knocked-down in a few minutes and a short time later the occupant was located and removed from the dwelling, and raced to the waiting ambulance crew, CPR was started and the PT was transported to the hospital.
Crews continued to bring the fire under control, for the next hr checking for extension. Heavy damaged to all floors of the dwelling, the cause is under investigation.
