First In

I welcome you to my blog site; I hope to show you the fire service in NLC in some interesting events. During the next few years, I will improve on the content and photos to keep you coming back for more. I take pride in my photography and try my best to be first in when possible. The majority of the photos will be from the Norwich companies & surrounding area departments, but sometimes I Buff out of state cities for a change of pace.

As of late I have missed or worked a lot of the incidents. I have a great support group of Photographers to help the site keep up with all the incidents. There are too many to list, So thanks for your support. Thanks for visiting and enjoy .RD Ladd

Top 10 photos from 2013 and review

2014 was a little slower for me. I had some changes in the size of my new family and worked a few extra hours this year and was unable to take a bunch of incidents in. I would like too thanks my fellow photographers for sending in some incident. We all missed a large amount of fires, the ones we are able to share with you is less the 30% of the overall incdents. So remember; if you have any photos or video you would like to share with world please send them to me with a little info. I use this site to show the general public, political leaders and fellow firefighters what we do and the conditions we deal with.

As I do every year; I would like to thank all the Fire officers, Department personnel along with the police officers for allowing me and a few others access to the incident you are involved with. With out your support this site would not be possible.

This month one of my photos from 2012 should be on the cover of Fire Engineering magazine.   Only 12 a year are pick for this honor. One other photo was chosen for the Smeal Fire Apparatus calender along with a bunch of photos in Fire News (a fire based newspaper). So I will say, for the few photos I have submitted in the last year its been a good year.

Below are the photos, I have chosen for the top 10 this year.

Thanks, for viewing and I will try to bring you more incidents this year as they happen. Don't forget about visiting Laddsphotos@smugmug.com for full sets emergency and along with other interests that I enjoy.
