First In






I welcome you to my blog site; I hope to show you the fire service in NLC in some interesting events. During the next few years, I will improve on the content and photos to keep you coming back for more. I take pride in my photography and try my best to be first in when possible. The majority of the photos will be from the Norwich companies & surrounding area departments, but sometimes I Buff out of state cities for a change of pace.



As of late I have missed or worked a lot of the incidents. I have a great support group of Photographers to help the site keep up with all the incidents. There are too many to list, So thanks for your support. Thanks for visiting and enjoy .RD Ladd

East Brooklin 2nd Alarm+ 01-31-15

Around 13:40 East Brooklyn with M/A was dispatched to South Main St the Tiffany Building for a reported building fire. Car 96 reported a 3 story brick apartment building with active fire and ammo going off, with a missing occupant. Crews searched the building and found two victims, the fire was brought under control within an hr.  Local and State FMOs are investigating.

Berlin W/F 01-30-15

Berlin fire responded at 15:55 to 39 Highview Terrace. On the chiefs arrival he transmitted the working fire. Mutual aid from Cromwell's Rescue responded as RIT. The three occupants of the house were transported to the local hospital for unknown injuries.

Lebanon W/F 01-28-15

Lebanon Fire with Colombia and Willimantic was dispatched to 644 Beaumont Highway for a report from a neighbor reporting a house fire. A working fire was transmitted by first arriving member. Crews rescued an occupant for the home and transported to Windham Hospital. The fire was under control in about 30 mins. The fire is under investigation.NFI

Ellington W/F 01-17-15

Ellington crews worked this garage fire attached to 1.5 story home at 57 Webster Rd.The fire was confined to the garage. 




Hartford 2nd Alarm, 01-16-15


At 10:58 Hartford fire worked this 2nd Alarm fire at 58 Burton St.

Glastonbury W/F 01-10-15

 Glastonbury fire responded to 508 Chimney Sweep Hill Rd at 1215 hours for a car fire in the garage. First officer on scene reported fire and heavy smoke showing from the garage and extending into the house. Many mutual aid tankers assisted with a water shuttle.

Norwich W/F 01-12-15

Around 17:00 Norwich fire was dispatched to North Cliff Street for a reported house fire. First Due found a 2.5 story Vacant dwelling with smoke showing. Crews contained the fire to one room.

Paccaic NJ 3rd Alarm 01-10-15

Passaic Fire and M/A companies worked a 3rd alarm at 386 Lafayette Ave @ 14:14. First due reported fire showing from attic. Crews worked the fire for around 3 hrs.
