First In






I welcome you to my blog site; I hope to show you the fire service in NLC in some interesting events. During the next few years, I will improve on the content and photos to keep you coming back for more. I take pride in my photography and try my best to be first in when possible. The majority of the photos will be from the Norwich companies & surrounding area departments, but sometimes I Buff out of state cities for a change of pace.



As of late I have missed or worked a lot of the incidents. I have a great support group of Photographers to help the site keep up with all the incidents. There are too many to list, So thanks for your support. Thanks for visiting and enjoy .RD Ladd

Jewett City, W/F 10-06-2017

Qv dispatched, Jewett City and M/A  to 131 North Main St. for a reported fully involved dwelling. First due reported a fully involved 2 story dwelling, with 2 exposures. Ladder 156 arrived and placed a 2.5 inch line and started exposure protection on the B side of the building. As other companies arrives several 2.5inch and blitz fires where stretched. The heavy fire was knocked down in a few minutes, and in a short time all visible fire was darkened down. Crews worked for a few hrs and turned the building over to the State Fire Marshals for the investigation.

Lisbon W/F 10-02-17

Lisbon fire and M/A responded to109 Bushnell Rd, for a reported pool house fire at 10:31. Smoke could been seen 30 miles away, first due found a large pool house 3/4 involved. Crews worked the scene for about an hour. The building was a total loss and is under investigation.
