First In






I welcome you to my blog site; I hope to show you the fire service in NLC in some interesting events. During the next few years, I will improve on the content and photos to keep you coming back for more. I take pride in my photography and try my best to be first in when possible. The majority of the photos will be from the Norwich companies & surrounding area departments, but sometimes I Buff out of state cities for a change of pace.



As of late I have missed or worked a lot of the incidents. I have a great support group of Photographers to help the site keep up with all the incidents. There are too many to list, So thanks for your support. Thanks for visiting and enjoy .RD Ladd

East Brooklyn, Day St. W/F 1story wood frame 2-09-07

East Brooklyn, firefighters were dispatched to the scene at 4:40 p.m. after neighbors reported seeing smoke coming from the building. Firefighters worked to locate the fire, as crews vented the building. Heavy smoke pushed from the attic at times visibility in the front yard to zero. After a short time heavy fire vented from attic and burned off the power lines, During this time the crews were evacuated from the building and defencive operations ordered. After a short time the main body of the fire was knocked down. Mortlake,Danielson, Williamsville,Atwood Hose Co. and Dayville departments. Crews enter the front door as heavy smoke vents from the roof.
At times visibility was zero in the front yard. Smoke changes to fire from the vent hole. Power lines fall to the ground.

Heavy fire burns through the roof after evacuating the building. Crews work the front wall.
