First In

I welcome you to my blog site; I hope to show you the fire service in NLC in some interesting events. During the next few years, I will improve on the content and photos to keep you coming back for more. I take pride in my photography and try my best to be first in when possible. The majority of the photos will be from the Norwich companies & surrounding area departments, but sometimes I Buff out of state cities for a change of pace.

As of late I have missed or worked a lot of the incidents. I have a great support group of Photographers to help the site keep up with all the incidents. There are too many to list, So thanks for your support. Thanks for visiting and enjoy .RD Ladd

Yantic 395 MVA & State PD Chase 08-11-06

Friday around 18:30-19:00 the State PD was looking for an individual for undisclosed reason's, when he was spotted he fled north bound on 395 into the Yantic section of Norwich, As the State PD was trying to catch up with him he tried to exit at 81 west and found that at high speed you cannot control your car well. He ended up tearing up the wire guardrails and going over the embankment. Then he thought he would run though the woods to get away. He thought wrong, with about 6 State PD and a SPD Dog, 2 or more Norwich PD, and trooper 1, he was found hiding near the river. After his removal from the wooded area, Yantic and American personnel treated him for multiple injuries from the MVA and his attempt to run. State PD & Norwich PD watch as YFD personnell check the PT condition.

FYI

Thanks again for visiting my blog. We have had over 8000 hits in the last 6 months, not bad for basically word of mouth. I have noticed that some departments are using some of my photos on their web sites. I have no problem with this, but please just let me know, and if you could please place me in your links. If any one would like a high-resolution copy of a photo contact me at, laddr68@yahoo.com. The photos on this site are reduced by 75% and are just a few of the shots from each incident.

I have just upgraded to a new digital camera, a Nikon D70s, so I hope to bring you sharper images and clearer nighttime photos. So thanks for stopping by and stay safe.
