First In






I welcome you to my blog site; I hope to show you the fire service in NLC in some interesting events. During the next few years, I will improve on the content and photos to keep you coming back for more. I take pride in my photography and try my best to be first in when possible. The majority of the photos will be from the Norwich companies & surrounding area departments, but sometimes I Buff out of state cities for a change of pace.



As of late I have missed or worked a lot of the incidents. I have a great support group of Photographers to help the site keep up with all the incidents. There are too many to list, So thanks for your support. Thanks for visiting and enjoy .RD Ladd

Plainfield W/F 11-02-09

Plainfield fire responded to 6th Street around 11:am for a fire in the first floor. When the first engine arrived, the fire was venting out 3 window's. Crews knocked down the fire on the first floor and searched for extension in a short time fire was found to be taking hold of the cockloft. Crews vent the side vent then the roof to aid in the extingushment of the fire. A 2nd alarm was requested to the scene as a precaution. more photos @ Laddsphotos
Smoke starts to seep out the shingles on the roofFire races up the wall of a 2nd floor room into the cockloft, As firefighter opens up the vent. Whats going on outside? inside exposure "D" Opening up to locate the hidden pocket of fire
