First In
I welcome you to my blog site; I hope to show you the fire service in NLC in some interesting events. During the next few years, I will improve on the content and photos to keep you coming back for more. I take pride in my photography and try my best to be first in when possible. The majority of the photos will be from the Norwich companies & surrounding area departments, but sometimes I Buff out of state cities for a change of pace.
As of late I have missed or worked a lot of the incidents. I have a great support group of Photographers to help the site keep up with all the incidents. There are too many to list, So thanks for your support. Thanks for visiting and enjoy .RD Ladd
As of July 2017, my site has had 319000 hits thanks for viewing. If you keep coming I will keep posting. First time visitors for older post click on the month links right side.
Remember: I'm not able to make every major event, so if you get some photos or video and would like to share them, please contact me @ laddr68@yahoo.com

I "believe" that this is the fire that took the home of a deployed RI Army National Guard soldier...I know that the RING is looking for donations to aid the family.
From RING Facebook page:
The HQ Troop Command, state and unit Family Readiness Groups as well as RI Blue Star Moms and other organizations have mobilized to assist the family. They are in need of children's clothing and toys: Boy's size 14/16, Boy's size 10, Girl's size 4 and Girl's size 24 months. They will also need household furnishings; appliances, furniture, kitchen items, linens, etc. Personnel willing to make voluntary donations of clothing or household furnishings may contact any of the POCs listed below or drop them off during business hours Tuesday-Friday at the Camp Fogarty armory, 2841 South County Trail (Rte 2), East Greenwich, RI 02818. For people who would like to make a voluntary monetary donation, the preferred method is to send a check payable to "Luke Labonte", to the local Bank of America branch in Moosup, CT, Mailing address: Bank of America, 28 Main St., Moosup, CT 06354. You can also donate at any BOA branch, by informing the teller that you wish to make a deposit into the account of "Allan Chase", opened in CT, with the account number ending in "6612". (Allan is a neighbor and custodian of the account - the Labonte's have access to the account and will receive the donations)." Please note monetary donations are not tax deductable. Points of Contact for information are: HQ Troop Command: LTC James Williams c: 401-378-8703 State Family Readiness Center: Mr. Wayne Parker w: 401-275-4349 Unit Family Readiness Group: Mrs. Leighann Killea leighnsean@aol.com
